Sushmitha Paidi
Sushmitha Paidi has been associated with Agrasar since its inception in 2011. With an undergraduate degree in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, and a Masters Degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science, she is driven by the staunch belief that in each of us lies the power to make a difference, and her optimism lies in her ability to see good in everybody. She is passionate about enabling and empowering communities through interventions in Education, Health, Employability and Livelihood Support. She has worked in the Development Sector for over ten years with Times Foundation and Youthreach designing and implementing Corporate Social Responsibility Programmes rooted in community needs and managing partnerships with Corporate Houses such as General Electric Foundation, Nokia, Wrigley, Alcatel Lucent Technologies, Asahi India Glass Ltd, Jindal Stainless Steel, JLLM, Intercontinental Hotels Group, PepsiCo, Leela Kempinski Group, Yum Restaurants etc. She has managed programmes in Education, Life Skills, Employability, Health and Livelihoods and employee engagement across India. She is a certified Master Trainer in Life Skills and has trained staff in NGOs in India and abroad. She has recently relocated to Washington DC from Singapore and works closely with the Counseling Team in School, creating opportunities for students and parent engagement. Sushmitha’s expertise in building partnerships with the Corporate Sector and managing interventions in the community has helped Agrasar grow its partnership base and design comprehensive programmes in response to critical community needs.

Dr. Sunil Pahilajani
Dr. Sunil Pahilajani, Managing Trustee of the Board, brings to Agrasar over four decades of industry experience and valuable insights in governance, change management, and strategic leadership, along with a strong background in the social sector. During his 40-year corporate career, Dr. Pahilajani held leadership roles for 23 years as CEO, MD, and Board Member, driving transformation, growth, and strategic change. His strengths include turnaround management, governance, business development, strategic communication, project execution, and people leadership. He has led at companies such as Maruti Udyog, Caparo Group, Mahindra Navistar, Suzlon Energy, and Greaves Cotton.Passionate about social development, Dr. Pahilajani has actively contributed to disability inclusion. He chaired Anushruti, a school for hearing-impaired children, and currently serves on the boards of Muskaan, Mission Chetna, and Sarthak Educational Foundation, all focused on skill development and livelihoods for persons with disabilities. An alumnus of IIT Roorkee (Mechanical Engineering), he specialized in Metallurgy at Nagoya University, Japan, holds a PhD in Management, and is a certified Independent Director and Coach. He also completed the Advanced Business Analytics Programme at IIM-A.

Chetan Kapoor
A thought leader and seasoned development sector professional, Chetan has worked with multiple stakeholders, across rural and urban landscapes in a career spanning over two decades. With a strong belief in finding collaborative solutions, Chetan has always espoused the importance of scaling deep before scaling wide. Chetan joined Tech Mahindra Foundation in 2016 as now serves as its Chief Executive Officer. He conceptualized the Foundation’s flagship Skill Development Program (SMART), which is one of the largest urban skill development programs in India and has been furthering the vision of the foundation, “Empowerment through Education”. Chetan has served as a jury member of the FICCI Excellence in Higher Education Awards and has been part of their Skill Development Committee. He has also been a member of the Curriculum Reform Committee constituted by the Government of Delhi for transforming education in Delhi Government schools. Prior to joining TMF, Chetan led his consulting company Edulever, a premier support organization for the social development sector. Earlier, he has held senior management positions in organizations like Pratham, Bharti Foundation, and American India Foundation. He is also the co-founder of Agrasar, a developmental organization working for Skills and Education. Chetan has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi.
